THE BIRTH OF “THE CLEAVAGE RHOMBUS”

“Who needs accessories when you have an amazing Couture cut out tuxedo by Maxime Simoens?! Serena is no nonsense in this episode, so I wanted her formal wear to be fierce, severe, and traffic-stopping,” Daman explains. “New York Magazine actually called me the inventor of the “Cleavage Rhombus” for this inspired couture creation. So be it! I wanted her looking FIERCE!”

DON’T APOLOGIZE! ACCESSORIZE!

The night I hosted Fashion’s Night Out with Vera Wang in her NYC Soho boutique I had the pleasure of meeting jewelry designer Magdalena Stokalska. Vera and I each invited a handful of our respective Twitter followers, and Magda was among those on my list, chosen to join in the festivities on that nights special occasion. One thing led to another and we received sample pieces from Magda’s jewelry collection. Goes to show you, if you’re open to new possibilities, expanding your horizons, and you’re prepared… you can go just about anywhere you want to go.

If you like these pieces, you can see more at stokalska.com and get them online!

Watch Carrie get ready for the school dance in The Carrie Diaries “Caught” and “The Long Winding Road not taken” on the CW’s website.

“I totally fell in love with the velvet and pearl,” Daman told InStyle.com. “They’re so ‘80s aspirational.”

The teen Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) receives her first pair of Manolo Blahniks, a scene so momentous, costume designer Eric Daman had to find just the right pair of shoes. His pick—a pointed-toe green lime green design embellished with gemstones.

THE SHOE MUST GO ON!

The teen Carrie (AnnaSophia Robb) receives her first pair of Manolos in this week’s “Hush, Hush” episode of The Carrie Diaries, a scene so momentous, costume designer Eric Daman had to find just the right pair of shoes. His pick? A pointed-toe, green lime green design, embellished with teardrop pearls and gemstones. “Talk about light on her feet! This shoe is practically illuminated from within!” Watch Carrie slip into her first pair of Manolos in The Carrie Diaries “Hush, Hush” episode on The CW.

@ROBBANNASOPHIA THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE NEW PHOTOS OF TEEN #CARRIEBRADSHAW! XOXOE!

AnnaSophia Robb’s Natural Tonality Is Really Spring—
As Carrie Bradshaw She’s A Girl Styled For All Seasons!

ASR’s cool blue eyes, fair hair, and rose gold skin tone means she’s a shoe-in for the colors normally known for their popularity in Spring: lilac, tangerine, butter, soft gold, turquoise— the range of colors budding in a blooming spring bouquet.

#Fashion411: I’m using my styling technique known as “face-framing”. I use colors and tones that complement her natural coloring, so I can add other colors to harmoniously expand my range of styling possibilities. AnnaSophia’s frosty, metallic-purple, oversized neck chain creates a visual segue to her fuschia belt, a more saturated variation on the pink in her top.

A graceful transition from light to dark allows the styling to move from Spring colors, into deeper-toned Summer colors, and further into the rich deep floral pattern of her skirt and underlying purple crinoline, normally considered a Winter color. Finally I can transition into the full deep rich midnight-indigo tone of her shoes.

Framing your face means understanding your native palette.
It’s your greatest asset no matter what “season” you are.
From there you can wear any other color you like…
As long as you’re careful to frame your face!

XOXOE!
