Bianca Bai and I have a stylish cup of tea in NYC!
Posted in FASHION & STYLE on June 24, 2014
China’s number one fashion, beauty and lifestyle TV program, Queen (我是大美人) came to visit me in NYC! My friend Bianca Bai, a Chinese supermodel, and I had afternoon tea at the Plaza Hotel (yes, of Gatsby fame) in Manhattan. I gave her style tips for how to master the “Upper East Side IT Girl Look” she’s just crazy about.
To see how I styled Bianca Bai in some of my favorite designers for a fashionable day of New York City shopping, and more looks inspired by Blair Waldorf and Serena van Der Woodsen from 我是大美人.
I told Cosmo China “Fashion should be original, both a fun and very enjoyable thing.”

To find your own signature style is to embrace fashion in the best way. Fashion is meant to be fun and enjoyed. Its ok to take risks and be inventive along the way. It’s the key to finding your own true style. Shop for your shape. Respect who you are, how you are built, and work with your best assets. Learn to accept them, maximize them, and minimize the rest.”

I told New Zealand’s @coupdemain Magazine “Working on ‘Sex And The City’ was like earning a PHD in costume design…”

“Patricia Field pushed the boundaries of style on television with a certain level of embellishment that brought to life a portrayal of character that can only happen through clothing, while Sarah Jessica Parker was a stickler for proper fit, without which a petite actor can be easily gobbled up by her garments.”
